Suggested agenda

I like spending our time in this order:
- "we are here, and here is where we want to go". Probably include things like the dojox release process in this topic.
- figure out the doc tool stuff: what is needed to get it launched?
- get demo/tutorial publishing process worked out.
- get into specific "internals" discussions on different parts of the
toolkit (like Grid).

If we have a hackathon, it should be around the doc tool and anything documentation related, like the demo/tutorial process.

dojo/dijit/dojox

- discuss what gets moved from dojox to dojo/dijit
- potential structure/svn changes
- unbundling dojox releases from dojo/dijit

dijit topics

- dissatisfaction with having one big tundra.css file, and also not having way to theme dojox widgets

forgotten topics

Here are a few topics we started but never finished AFAIK. Maybe should bring them up at the meeting. Or maybe not.

- electing foundation board of directors
- foundation fund raising
- new home for server machines (or hosting)
- changing name of foundation

re: forgotten topics

- new servers are on order and should be in place soon. Dustin and I can report on that.

new home

Thanks, that'll be good to report on, although the topic I was actually talking about was where the servers live. A year ago Google bought Sitepen and at that point we said we urgently needed to move the server somewhere else, or do hosting. AFAIK though they are still at Sitepen/Google.

You're thinking of JotSpot.

JotSpot was bought by Google, not SitePen =)

hehe

Hehe, I stand corrected. Anyway, there was lots of talk (but no action) on giving the servers a home with 24/7 support (or buying such hosting) so maybe we can talk about that at DDD.

New servers already on the way...

Hey Bill,

SitePen is doing the logistics and BEA has provided the funds for our new server arrangements. Dustin has outlined the plan (generally) at several weekly meetings and the new hardware is on its way. I expect that we'll be well along the path to having this resolved by DDD.

More potential topics of conversation/random ideas

- Encouraging the release of Dojo-based projects / plug-ins outside the aegis of the Dojo Foundation (i.e. viral marketing)
- Getting the Dojo Community up and running
- Splitting out some of the major DojoX projects into smaller, autonomous ones? *
- Figuring out how to enable more extensive theme changes (overwriting/custom widget templates, where/how theme bundles work, etc.)
- web-based build tools
- CSS build tools **

* including the possible need to set up DojoX projects against a specific tag/rev as opposed to always against trunk?
** speaking to the dissatisfaction of one big Tundra CSS file
